Kentucky is the only state that requires a physical presence requirement in order to be subject to the corporation income and license tax.

There is an exemption for machinery for new and expanding industry. This excludes repair, replacement or spare parts.
Transaction Privilege & Use Tax
This tax is a tax on the privilege of doing business in the State. The tax ranges from 5.6% – 9.0% with a state average of 8.3%.
Kentucky new employers’ rate is 2.7% for 3 years.
